Sports Mom Life & Celebrating Wins
I had an interview this week for my podcast, and something she said had a lasting impact on me. We were talking about when kids get really hard on themselves after they don’t play they way they want to. She pointed out that not every kid gets to be the best player. As parents, our role is to show them that we’re there for them and we love them whether they have a great game or they didn’t. Whether they are the star or not.
We’re right in the mix of all of our kids participating in sports. Wanting it to be a positive experience for them. Helping them build resilience when they have a tough game. Celebrating them when they make themselves proud. Loving them no matter what.
I’m not sure parenting has ever been more fun than it is right now. A lot of being right beside them instead of under them. I’m going to soak it in the best I can. I hope you all are having a great spring.

Wearing: I can’t stop wearing these claw clips. All the previous one’s I’ve tried slip out of my hair - these stay perfectly in place. Comes in a two pack.
Reading/watching: I am reading Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune - I am only 14% in. So far, so good! I feel like it’s going to be a predictable ending, but I don’t know how I’m going to get there. I love her writing style so I’m excited to keep reading. Watching - I mean, obviously Summer House. Buckle up for the reunion - should we have a watch party?!
ACTUALLY using: I got this laundry brightener to try and bring my white clothing back to life and it worked SO well. I was really impressed with the results.
Pick of the week: Might be niche, but these butter squishies are SO popular at my kids’ school right now. They all want them and they are obsessed with squishing these lol.
